Naunton Dovecote

The Friends of the Cotswolds have supported the Naunton Village Trust in some renovation works at the Dovecote situated in the village. The dovecote is situated in a beautiful spot by the river Windrush. However the view was spoilt by an old block and asbestos tractor shed. The project was to demolish the shed and create a riverside picnic area enclosed by new Cotswold drystone walling. The project was completed with funds raised by the village trust with a grant from the friends. Support was also given by Huntsmans Quarries Ltd who removed the block waste for recycling and supplied the new walling stone.
