Leave a legacy

Legacies are one of the most important sources of income for charities in the UK, and leaving a legacy to charity is probably the most important gift you will ever make in your lifetime, it is certainly likely to be the largest single gift to charity you will make in your life. Remember that whatever you choose to leave to charity will be tax-free.

Leaving a legacy to Friends of the Cotswolds is as easy as a visit to your solicitor to arrange to write, or amend, your will. Each gift no matter how large or small can help us deliver projects that make the Cotswold Hills better for generations to come – it is a great way of leaving something that will last.

If you choose to remember us in your Will, please write a letter explaining to your family and relatives why you left a legacy to Friends of the Cotswolds. You can then be sure they will understand your wishes. You may like to store this letter with your Will.

Also, please let us know if you have included us in your Will. Knowing about your support will help us to plan for the future and to keep you informed of our work.
